This cycle is fundamental for everyone, because before being anything else, we are all children. Our perception of God the Father is inevitably filtered through our experiences with our earthly parents. Wounds inflicted by an authoritarian, passive, absent, or abusive parent create within us an "orphan heart": a heart that doesn't feel at home, that can't believe anyone will meet its needs, and that lives in a state of self-sufficiency, independence, and self-assertion.

This course will guide you to heal those fundamental wounds that distorted your image of the Father. You will learn to identify if you are living like the "older brother" in the parable, trapped in religion and performance, aggressively striving to earn a love and acceptance that have already been unconditionally given to you. We will explore how the absence of a mother's storge (natural affection) can lead to a search for counterfeit affection in addictions and compulsions.

The goal is to receive "The Blessing" that may never have been given to you: a gift comprised of a meaningful touch, words of profound value, a vision for a special future, and an active commitment to seeing it fulfilled. By forgiving your parents and receiving the blessing of Heavenly Father, you break the cycle of pain and generational curses. The ultimate purpose is that, once your heart as a child is healed, you can turn the hearts of your own children back to you, giving them a legacy of love, not pain.
